Game day dip

Sundays have become one of my favorite days of the week. I love dressing Tommy in oranges and browns in anticipation for the game, making different recipes, and lounging around while cheering on the Browns (my husband is from Cleveland). Although his team did not make it to the play offs, this recipe did… If you are planning a game day party, the Hostess With The Mostess has football themed printables such as cupcake toppers.

Game day spinach & artichoke dip:

Mix 1 cup grated mozzarella

1/2 cup grated parmesan

8 ounces cream cheese

3 chopped garlic cloves

1 box thawed frozen spinach

1 jar artichoke hearts, drained & chopped

2 tablespoons chopped green onion

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

salt and pepper

Mix together in a slow cooker. Cover and cook on high, 2 hours.

Here is the dip…

We liked the dip, although I loved this spinach dip even better:

8 ounces sour cream

1/2 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened

2 tablespoons mayonnaise

1 package dry vegetable soup mix

1/2 bunch spinach, rinsed and chopped

Mix & chill. Serve with bread, pita chips…
