Making a newspaper handprint

I spotted this cute, 3D handprint immediately on a shelf in my sister’s house. My niece, Marina, came up with this idea after tracing her hand on newspaper. How creative is that?

Making a newspaper handprint:

Trace your hand several times onto a folded newspaper. Cut out newspaper designs and set aside. Make a paste by using 1 part all-purpose flour to 2 parts water in a medium bowl. Dip newspaper one at a time into the paste. Begin stacking handprints on one another, and continue until you reach desired thickness. Let dry overnight. The process is similar to making a pinata.
