Sweet and spicy pumpkin seeds

Hope everyone had a fabulous time trick or treating. Tommy was so happy to run up and down the pathways with family and friends, filling up his treat bag!

This year we made sure to carve pumpkins and take the time to bake the seeds. I just love baked pumpkin seeds, and decided to make them two ways… Spicy with Cajun and garlic seasoning & sweet with cinnamon and brown sugar! It took my 3 small to medium-sized pumpkins to make both recipes.

I am thinking about grilling them next year in foil with the seasonings. A perfect fall snack.


Cajun pumpkin seeds:

1 cup seeds

1 1/2 Tbsp melted butter

1/2 to 1 tsp Cajun seasoning

1/8 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Mix all of the ingredients and lay out on a lightly sprayed baking sheet. Bake at 300 for 30 min, stirring every 5 minutes. Turn down heat to 275 and bake for another 30 minutes, continuing to stir.

Cinnamon sugar pumpkin seeds:

1 cup seeds

1/2 Tbsp canola oil

1/8 tsp salt

1 Tbsp brown sugar

1/2 tsp cinnamon

Mix all ingredients. Bake at 300 for 30 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes.
